Today was a most excellent day on the water. First it didn't rain like the weather man promised, second the lake was empty, no one else was out there so it was basically all mine and lastly, I hooked into the biggest smallie of the year, up until it got away at the side of the boat - hence no picture. Instead imagine a huge smallmouth while looking at the pics of the ones that I did boat. Think more than three times as big (no kidding).  Now I'll have to go back to try again. 

 

Also saw some wildlife and a nice end of day sunset.  

 

 

The forecast is for sunny weather the next couple of days... so tempting ... 

 

Hopefully not the last days this fall but given travel and work, not much time before the snow files. The fish are active and the bite is starting to pick up and there are no other boats out there. nice fishing time.
