Flyfish bass (again)

Went back to the river, same place. Windy as hell so the casting was difficult. Got this smallish smallmouth despite the casting issues.  

Fly Fishing Bass

I stopped at the Ottawa river on the way home from work and for the first time this year, did some fly fishing. A little rusty but no incidents.

I was out a little less than an hour and got this guy on a clouser minnow I tied myself. Also got some on a badly beaten up self tied wooly bugger. 

 

The water is warm enough to wet wade and the current is slighty slower than it's been through the year (although nowhere near the usual low flows this time of year).

La Réserve Beachêne

is awesome!

No other way to say it. We had a 200+ Smallmouth day on a back lake. Walleye were on fire and some large bass were caught too.
