Big Rideau Bass
Spent the afternoon on the big lake looking for smallmouth bass. Not much luck, only caught a few small guys. Switched to a spinner bait and found a few of these largemouth. No size to them but they were consistentenly near shore grass spots.
Didn't have my usual film crew with me so I had to make due with the self portrait.
Morning fog
The one nice thing when you go camping and it rains all night, and the sleeping bag is damp, and when you stumble out of bed, no one offers you coffee, that the view of the post storm river makes it worth it.
Topwater bass
It was silly. I spent all sorts of time looking for smallies with
tubes and jigs and found none. I should have stared shallow as all
sorts of largemouth were hanging out in 3 ft of water, waiting for my popper. Geoff was nice enough to snap the pics.
